Brakes India limited was established in the year 1962. It is the leading manufacturer of Non-Automotive and Automotive Braking Systems and Ferrous Castings in India. Brakes India is a joint venture of Lucas Industries Plc, UK and TVS Group. In the year 1981 the company established a Foundry Division at Sholinghur which manufactures Permanent Mould Grey Iron castings. Brakes India also provides very good IT facilities at all the manufacturing locations for Product Design, Manufacturing, Marketing, Development and Business Processes.

Brakes India Limited has 4 stages of selection. First test is a General Aptitude test in which 25 questions are to be solved in 15 minutes. Candidates who get selected after the first round are then allowed to sit for second test. Second Test is a Technical Test in which 75 questions are to be answered in 30 minutes. Third stage is a Group Discussion in which groups are formed and each groups are given a certain topic for discussion. Those who are good speakers and who dominated the entire GD session are then shortlisted. The last stage is the Interview round. Interview is both Technical and HR. The final lists of the selected candidates are declared after the Interview round.
