Working since 1966 the Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut is one of the major institutes for higher education in Uttar Pradesh. The university is spread over a large 222 acres area with all modern facilities for its students.

The university Studies are divided into 6 streams namely Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Science, Faculty of management, Faculty of law, Faculty of Education with each having its own various individual departments. Each department offers separate courses like The Faculty of science offers courses like M. Phil. in Zoology, Microbiology, Botany, Statistics, and Mathematics & Physics. M. Sc. in Statistics, Botany, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry toxicology, Zoology & microbiology.

The colleges affiliated include Government and Aided colleges, Self Financing Colleges, Professional Institutions and Regular colleges with seats.

The university has a well equipped library which supports all the courses and has journals, Books Newspapers etc., the university deals with. Apart from this the university at its campus has facilities like Cafeteria, Bank, Community Centre, Medical Centre, Large and Spacious Auditorium, Gymnasium, Indoor Stadium, Medical Center and Administrative block. The university also provides separate residential waters for the faculty members and the employees in the university. The University gives hostel facility to the students with separate boys and girls hostels equipped with all requirements. The university has a separate placement cell that looks after all the student’s placements.

The admission to M.Phil Program (2 Semesters) requires at least 55% marks in Masters Degree and the student has to clear the bachelor’s Degree and the Intermediate examination with at least fifty Percent Marks. For admission To M.A., M.Sc. (4 semesters) the students must at least have 2nd division or 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and the Intermediate examination and the student must have studied the subject at graduation level. For M.Ed. the student must have scored at least 50% marks separately in theory and Practical in B.Ed. Course.
