I m having good marks in my 10th board in maths,english ...but there is no maths in my college for commerce students...so can i do BCA without having maths in 12..??

Yes Definately You Can Do BCA After Completing 12th If You Dont Have Maths In Your
12th Exams, To Get Admission In BCA, You Required Computer Science Subjects In Your 12th Class, So, If You Have CS In Your 12th Then You Are Eligible to Get Admission In BCA, Maths Is Not Required To get Admission In BCA.

So, To Get Admission In BCA, You Have To scored Good Marks In Your 12th Exams, Manny Colleges will offer This Course Directly, Without Any Entrance. But If You Want To get Admission In Top Colleges, Then You Have to Appear For Entrance Exams.

So, If You Dont Have Maths In Your 12th Exams, Then You Can Get Admission In BCA, But You have CS Subject In Your 12th Exams.

yes dude u can do BCA with out maths in 12th.
for doing BCA u basically need to have some basic knowledge about computer,
as BCA is related to computer and in each of its 6 semster ur going to study atleast 2 or 3 subject with is related to computers so dude dont think about anything just go fo BCA but study hard, do hard work as much as u can and after BCA go for MCA and u r just lika an B.Tech person like me

Well there is no definite eligibility criteria for BCA courses. But considering a few top universities, the basic eligibility required is as follows:

*12th Science or Commerce pass with English and one of the following subjects- Mathematics/Statistics/Business Maths.
*Minimum 50% aggregate at +2 level.

Most of the good colleges have an entrance exam for the purpose admission to the course and many even select on the basis of merit.

However, there are many colleges offering BCA degree and have no criteria for maths.

Since, you dont have maths for +2 so you wont be able to make it to a good college. I suggest you to see the following colleges:

*Kurukshetra University
*Maharshi Dayanand University(MDU)
*Chaudhary Charan Singh University,Meerut.

No, you can't. You should have basically Science background for BCA.

to take admission in BCA most of the institution give eligibility criterion that student should have either Mathematics or computer subject in class 12th.

but you do not have mathematics in 12th, now if you have computer in 12th then no problem to take admission in BCA. but if you do not have computer then you will face difficulty to take admission in MCA in good institution.

but some institution also offer BCA to the student those don't have mathematics or computer. you may go for that if you don't get chance in good institution.

to take admission in BCA you may directly apply to the institution with your 12th marks some good institution also take entrance examination to take admission in BCA. you may appear in this entrance examination.

Its good to do BCA from some technical institute or you can say from engineering institutes. As the faculty of these institutes are highly qualified and have great knowledge. So its good to do your BCA course form some engineering college.

BCA is bachelor of computer application,so the candidate can do BCA without mathematics but he /she should have computer science in his 12.
And also it varies on the institutes u apply,most probably they will not consider mathematics

You can do BCA without maths but generally BCA and all other computer related academic courses needs maths background for higher studies. So you can join it as a regular course from some colleges only after clear the entrance exam.So its better to opt it as a correspondence one From the IGNOU.You can join for IGNOU's BCA course, which is good course and valid to apply for jobs, other govt. exams. Hello friend,

In the olden days, it is not possible to do BCA without maths in 10+2.
After the computer subjects came in +2 level, its not necessary to take maths in 10+2. If you take Computer in your 10+2, then you can take BCA.
It depends on the college too.

There may be problems to go for BCA as you had not maths in your 10(+2). The renowned institutes admit students who have maths as a main subject in 12th standard.

Maths also be compensated by the subject computer science, so if you had computer science in 10(+2), you can go for BCA.

Academic Eligibility Criteria for BCA Course

Candidate must have completed Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent
The minimum marks secured in 12th standard should be at least 50%
The candidate should have pursued the science subjects. The science subjects should include Physics and Chemistry
Most institutes insist candidates should have pursued Mathematics during 12th standard

as you don't have maths so you can not apply bca in reputed collegesbut there are still some colleges which don't demand there eligibility .

Admission in BCA without Math

For the admission in the BCA program either math or computer science is the compulsory subject. If you have not taken math or computer science in the
12th std. then you are not eligible for the admission in the BCA program.

So, i advise you to go in the another course after completing 12th std.

You did not mention whether you are having Computers as one of the subject in your 10+2 or not.

In order to join BCA, the Mathematics as one of the subject in 10+2 is not mandatory.

You can join in good colleges without having Mathematics in your 10+2.

Even without having computers as one of the subjects in your 10+2 also, you can join BCA in some colleges.

I don't know why you are willing shift from Commerce to BCA (technical). I think it may be because of your interest.

Anyway learn good subject knowledge after joining BCA and you have plenty of opportunities in the IT companies

there is no criteria or compulsion to keep mathematics as one of the subject in 12th to do BCA.

You need to have good command on computers........and you can easily get admission in many good reputed institutes offering BCA course.......however there are a few well known reputed colleges where entrance exam is taken and the eligibility for that is you need to have 60% and above in your 12th.......

Yes , you can do BCA, but the only requirement is that you should have studied computer science in 11 and 12th.

Yes you can do BCA without having math in +2 level
and you need to have at-least 60% but in some institute they may prefer for 65% to 70% student so its purely depends on university!
but try to take maths subject in BCA course as it will be compulsory if you going to do MCA..as maths should be there either in graduation level or +2 level....

and now onwards there will be change in criteria i.e students need not have Certificate in Computing (CIC) to get admission into BCA and MCA courses offered by IGNOU.
