Application Form of Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is held by the All India Management Association for the admission of interested candidates into the post graduate management courses which is offered by many management institutes in India. The MAT exam is carried out four times annually.
Candidates can appear for this exam in two ways.
- The paper- pencil test (offline method)
- The computer based test (online method)
Eligibility criteria
Candidates appearing for the MAT exam should be graduates in any discipline from any acknowledged board or university. Students who are writing their qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the Management Aptitude Test.
Application procedure
Candidates can apply for the MAT exam through two procedures:
Online procedure
Application forms can be downloaded from the official website. The filled form should be sent along with the requisite documents to the Director, All India Management Association, New Delhi.
Offline procedure
Candidates can either acquire the MAT form directly from the AIMA counter at Delhi or from selected branches of the Bank of Baroda. After the application form is filled, it should be sent to the mentioned address by post. It must be accompanied by two self addressed envelopes. Candidates can also get their forms through post. They must send a request letter to Director, AIMA, New Delhi along with a DD containing the appropriate fees. Since the exam is conducted 4 times a year the centers may also change each time. So the rate of the fees for the application form will vary each time.
Filling up the application form
A few things the candidate should keep in mind:
- Read the instructions from the prospectus carefully.
- The candidate should fill the form in block letters only. They should be careful not to overwrite.
- Candidates should retain challan from the bank where the student paid the fee.
- The challan of the cash payment should be kept safely too.
- The candidates must paste their recent photos in the space provided.
- Candidates must provide their signature at the space indicated.
- Candidates must ensure that they have specified their address and phone number on the reverse of the DD.
