D.K. College was established in the year 1956 on the 26th of June and the college was given this name in honor of Ms. Dharichhana Kunwari, who contributed a huge amount of money and land towards the construction of the college. The college is offering education in the faculties of arts, commerce and science with affiliation from Veer Kunwar Singh University located at Arrah.

Courses offered:

D.K. College is offering intermediate and bachelor’s degree courses in the faculties of commerce, science and arts as regular courses. Apart from these courses, the college is also offering some vocational courses like Bachelor of Computer Application, Diploma in Fashion Designing and communicative (spoken) English courses.

Fee Structure:

The tuition fee collected by the college for Bachelor of Arts and science courses is Rs. 400 & Rs. 600 respectively and it also collects a miscellaneous fee of Rs. 234 for both these courses. For DCA course, the tuition fee collected by the college is Rs. 3000 and for fashion designing course it is Rs.200 and this is exclusive of other fees like admission fee, energy charge, development fee, registration fee, etc…

Campus of the College:

The campus of the college is constructed in a total land area of 5200 sq. m and the total built in area is 1180 sq. m for old block and 436.1 for new block, which was constructed recently. The campus of the college includes a library, a computer center with 36 computers and broadband internet connection, laboratories for computer, geography, biology, chemistry and physics subjects in addition to a number of classrooms for offering theoretical education to the students.

Hostel facility:

The college offers hostel facility to the students, there are separate hostels for boys and girls, and the girls’ hostel in the college is recently constructed.  The boys’ hostel of the college is functioning in a rented building at a town of Dumraon.
