The Company of Nalco offers recruitment to the eligible candidates in three different steps namely the written test or the aptitude test, GD and HR Personal Interview. The first step of the recruitment is the aptitude test, and has a duration of two and a half hours, and has a total of one hundred and twenty questions, divided into two sections, namely section I, which covers sixty question based on non-technical subjects and Section II, which covers sixty question based on technical subject as per chosen by the individual candidates.

Section I has questions from aspects such as Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal English, etc. Each of the questions is a Multiple Types and has an option of four, with candidates having to choose any one. Section II, has question from Technical based subjects Electrical and Tele-Communication and Network Theorem. Again, the questions are Multiple Types and are offered four options with candidates having to choose any one. Each of the answer when answered correctly fetches one mark in each of the sections. There is no negative marking observed in both of the sections. Candidates are advised to prepare from all over the syllabus in order to secure recruitment.
