Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank was established on the 31st of March 2006 and the bank has its operations in eight districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh namely Srikakulum, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Khammam, Warangal, Medak, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar and the headquarters of the bank is in the city of Warangal in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank has invited applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Officer Scale I and the details regarding the notification issued by the bank for the same are given below:

Name of the Vacancy: Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager) (post code: 03)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 140, which is divided among the different categories as follows

• SC - 21

• OBC – 38

• ST – 11

• General – 70

Out of the 140 posts, 02 posts are reserved for VI, 01 for HI and 01 for OC candidates.

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Officer Scale – I will come under the pay brand of  14500 – 600/7 – 18700 – 700/2 – 20100 – 800/7 – 25700. Therefore, the total beginning pay would be approximately Rs.22685 per month, which includes DA and HRA.

Period of Probation: Two years

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Candidates must be degree holders from a recognized university and preference will be given to candidates with graduation in Accountancy, Agriculture, Economics, Horticulture, Law, Forestry, Management, Animal Husbandry, Information technology, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Agriculture Engineering and Pisciculture. Candidates must be proficient in the local language Telugu and knowledge of computers will be an added qualification

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in written test followed by interview. The written test is fixed to be conducted on 25th of September 2011 at 9.30 am. Application fee:

Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.550, which is inclusive of postal charges and SC/ST candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.100, which is postal charges alone. Candidates residing in Warangal, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts can pay the fee through any of the branches of APGVB and others can pay fee through any branches of SBI. The fee should be paid through appropriate challan applicable for SBI and APGVB for Officer Scale I position. The fee should be paid between 27th of July and 22nd of August 2011 before online submission of application.

How to apply:

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements, will have to apply online through the website of the bank at http://www.apgvb.com/apgvb.htm between 27th July and 23rd of August 2011. Once application is made online, the system generated print out should be kept by the candidates for future reference.
