Mizoram University is a Central University that is established in the year 2001. In order to accomplish its objectives, the Mizoram University has provides various programmes/ schemes in terms of academic and administrative progress. The University initially had 7 academic departments, and now it has about 28 academic departments. The Mizoram University is set up on modern standards and it includes superb academic infrastructure and research facilities. The university comprises a Central Analytical and Preparatory Facility with sophisticated equipments. The University is located in Mizoram which is one of the most peaceful states in India. The climate at which the university is located is mild both in summer as well as in winter. The University offers excellent opportunity for its teaching staffs. Candidates must draw a demand draft worth Rs. 500 from the State Bank  of India, Aizawl Main Branch in favor of the Registrar, Mizoram University. Candidates falling under SC/ST and physically handicapped category are exempted from paying this fee.
