Netaji Subhas Open University in Kolkata offers both bachelors as well as post graduate degree, certificate and diploma courses in commerce, science and arts. From here, you can do a Post-Graduation in the regional language, i.e, Bengali, which falls under the Arts Stream. The entire duration for this Post-Graduation degree is 2 years, wherein you’d need to submit papers as well sit for exams.

The above mentioned second part is bit tricky, but you can overcome it by meticulously preparing for the exam and if it is coupled with the know-how of the paper, you can be rest assured that you’d get a better score.

Syllabus of examination:

Paper 3comprises of poems written in old age, medieval period and the modern era. The paper is divided into three modules. The first module contains poem written by Chandidas, Gobind Das, Balram Das etc. Rabindranath Tagore’s poems are included in the third section, modern era which also consists of the poems written after the First World War.

Time Duration

Total time duration for this paper is 4 hours.

Division And Pattern of the paper:

Although the paper consists of 100 marks, only 80 percent is what would be taken into consideration from the written exam and the rest 20 percent goes to class assignments. In total, you’d find 3 sections.

The first section has 4 questions, out of which you need to answer only 2. These question altogether stands for 36 marks and you’d have to answer them in no more than 350 words. The next section has 5-6 questions, wherein you’d need to answer 3 questions, and your answer should lie between 150-200 words. The last section as well varies between 6-7 questions. Here, you’d have to answer 4 questions; the answer should not exceed 150 words.
