Anna University was established in the year 1978. Mr. Surhit Singh Barnala is the Chancellor of the university and Dr. P. Manna Jawahar is the Vice Chancellor of the university. The university is located at Chennai with its campus spreaded in an area of 100 acres. Dr. S. Shanmugavel is the Registrar of the university. The university has the major objective of offering higher education in field of Engineering, Technology and Allied Sciences. It was established as an unitary type of university. Initially, the university was named as Perarignar Anna University of Technology.

Application Fee:

Rs. 500 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the candidates. SC/ST candidates of Tamil Nadu state are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 125.
