The study of Earth, its land and waters cover a wide range of topics and this is what is included in the Class 12 Geography Paper taught under the Chhattisgarh Board. A thorough preparation is required for this paper; however, a proper analysis of the paper pattern helps in preparing for the exam in an easier way.

Time allotted and maximum marks:

The paper is of 75 marks and the maximum time allotted for completing the paper is 3 hours.

Paper Pattern and Types of Questions:

There are a total of 22 questions in the paper which can broadly be divided into five parts. This division is on the basis of the number of marks per question and the maximum words to be used to answer them. The first contains six questions i.e. question 1 to 6 each of 2 marks and they must be answered within 30 words. Question numbers 7 to 12 are of 3 marks each and must be answered within 50 words. Answers to the question numbers 13 to 17 are of 4 mark each and the maximum word limit for them is 75 words. Questions 18 to 21 have 5 marks each and are of 120 word limit. The last question is a question based on graphs.
