IGNOU is a University offering distance education Programmes in almost all fields like arts, science, commerce and information technology. It is also known as “The People’s University”.  The exam is held twice a year i.e. in June and December. The Communication Technology paper in the Bachelors in Information Technology course under the Indira Gandhi National Open University covers a wide range of topics and is an important subject keeping in mind the recent developments that take place everyday these days in the communication technology.

Total marks and time allotted:

This exam is of 75 marks and the total time allotted for the same is 3 hours. Though some of the questions have long answers maintaining a proper handwriting along with proper time management helps in scoring well.

Paper Pattern:

The paper is a good mix of objective type questions and descriptive type questions. The paper is broadly divided into two sections. The first section is compulsory and has 10 objective type questions with four options for each question. However if the correct answer is not present in the options then one should write ‘0’ as the answer. There are also some descriptive questions in this section. The second section contains four questions and any three of them have to be answered.
