IGNOU, Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Management Design Papers
Information technology students of IGNOU University have to study computer management design and have to take its exam. This is one of the most important papers for Information technology students.
Paper pattern
There are two sections in the question paper, A and B. Section A consists of two questions. Both the questions are divided into sub questions. Section A is compulsory and all the questions in this section have to be attempted. This section consists of ‘True or false’, and short answer type questions. Section B consists of four question. All the four are divided into sub questions and from the four questions; candidates have to answer any three. This section consists of long answer type questions. The paper is totally descriptive. A minimum of 40% marks have to be scored by a candidate to pass the exam.
Marking scheme
The maximum mark of the paper is 75. Section A is for a total of 20 marks. Section B is for a total of 55 marks. Diagrams need to be presented neatly and special marks are allotted for neatness of the diagrams.
Duration of the paper
The candidates are allotted three hours for answering the question paper. Within this allotted time, the candidates need to finish answering all the questions as per the instructions, Before the start of the exam, candidates will be allotted 15 minutes for reading the question paper so as to clear any doubts they might encounter by consulting the invigilator. No extra time will be allotted whatever the case may be.
About the subject
The subject is mainly based on management of computer and associated things in business firms. There are no numerical problems in the subject but diagram are highly important especially flow charts.
