Rajendra Agricultural University was formed in the year 1970 on the 3th of December. It is one among the 26 agricultural universities in India located in the district of Samastipur in Bihar. Actually, the university was formed as India’s first Imperial Agriculture Research Institute.
After a major earthquake in Bihar in the year 1934, this institution was shifted to New Delhi, which was then named as Agricultural Research Institute. What remained was then reduced as an Agricultural Research Station and after this in the year 1970 this university was formed with its present name.
Five faculties of education are functioning under the university, namely home science & humanities, basic sciences, agricultural engineering, animal & veterinary and agriculture. In addition to these fisheries and institute of diary technology and college of agriculture is also functioning under the university. Six undergraduate degrees are offered by the university in addition to 18 Ph. D programmes and 33 post-graduate programmes in different fields of education. Rajendra Agricultural University holds the pride of being the only university that offers MBA in agribusiness. Admission to the under-graduation courses are made by the university on the basis of marks secured by students in Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, which is conducted by Bihar Government. Only 85% of the admission is made on this basis and the remaining 15% is made on the basis of scores in All India Entrance Examination conducted by VCI and ICAR.
When it comes to admission to Master’s degree programmes, competitive test is conducted by the university and students are selected on the basis of performance in entrance-cum-academics and for Ph. D programmes admission is made same as post-graduation courses.

sir mai Gwalior me rah kar agriculture science se 10+2 kiya hai aur me yaha rajandra agric…..university me admission karana chata hu ,mughe ye batane ki kirpa kare ki other state me rah kar padh ne vale ya other state ke student ka admission bina entrance ke ho sakta hai ki nahi please ask me answer./

Next year i will complete my B.Sc. In botany …so ho much percentage i require to appear in entrance exam??
