Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank shortly called as CGGB came into existence in the year 2006 and the bank has Government of Andhra Pradesh and Government of India as its share holders. The headquarters of the bank is located in the district of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and the bank has branches in different districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank invites application from eligible candidates for the position of Office Assistant.

Name of the position: Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Number of Vacancies: 70

Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-19300. Other perks and allowances will be applicable according to the rules of the bank.

Eligibility requirement:

Educational Qualification: For the position of Office Assistant, candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university and they should be proficient in the local language Telugu. Candidates should also possess knowledge of English and preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in computers.

Nationality/citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India/Nepal/Bhutan/they should be Tibetan refugee came to India before 1962 for permanent settlement in India. It is also essential that candidates must have stayed continuously for five years in the state of Andhra Pradesh before the appointment date.

Age: Candidates between the age group of 18 and 28 years of age can apply for the position of Multipurpose Office Assistant in CGGB. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be on the basis of written test and interview. Eligible candidates who have submitted the application before the last date will be called for written test, which will be of objective type with questions from general reasoning, general knowledge, numerical ability and reasoning.

How to apply:

Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions should apply online in the prescribed format through the website of CGGB at www.chaitanyagodavarigrameenabank.in or at www.cggb.in before the 31st of May 2011. The bank will not accept any other means of application. Candidates should pay the application fee of Rs. 250 (Rs. 50 for EXSM/PC/ST/ST) candidates, which includes both postal charges and application fee using any of the two challans belonging to Andhra Bank and CGGB Bank from the website of CGGB and they should remit the fee to any of the branches of these two branches. The candidates copy of the challan along with two passport size photographs should be brought by the students during written test.
