Gujarat Technological University was established by the state government of Gujarat and is managed by the same. A wide variety of courses are offered by the University which includes B.E, M.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.E, diploma in engineering and various other courses. Students who are under B.Pharmacy course of the university need to study Pharmaceutics and need to write the exam of the subject.

Description of the subject

The subject focuses of the basic of pharmaceuticals and various chemical compounds and its uses. B.Pharmacy students need to know all the chemical compounds properly and this has made the subject of supreme importance and is one that has to be mastered with precision.

Overview of question paper

There are seven questions in the paper which are not categorised into sections. All the seven questions consist of sub questions. Five out of seven questions have to be answered. Facility for internal choice is not available. All the sub questions within a question have to be answered. Apart from definitions and explanations, certain questions have to be answered by drawing diagrams. The candidates are asked to make assumptions and state it if there is any ambiguity about the questions. They need to state the same in the answer sheet.

Scheme of evaluation

No one can score more than 80 in this paper. A candidate is declared to have passed the exam only if 35 marks have been scored. Three hours is what the candidates have to answer the paper.

Score sky high

Scoring high in the exam is no tough task. Get the portions right and keep your memory up by continuous practise. Practising using question papers will be the best.
