Bihar Staff Selection Commission is responsible for recruitment of candidates to different government organizations in the state of Bihar. The commission is responsible for conducting written test and interview for recruitment of candidates.

Recruitment by BSSC:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission to work for Water Resource Department and the details regarding the notification issued by the commission for the same are given below:

Name of the position: Junior Engineer (Mechanical)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies is 42, which is divided as follows:

• OBC – 05

• BC – 05

• General – 15

• BC – 03 (female)

• SC – 06 (female)

• ST – 08 (female)

Pay Scale: Candidates selected for the position of Junior Engineering (Mechanical), will get a pay scale of Rs.5000-8000 (pre-revised)

Eligibility Requirement:

Educational Qualification: For applying to the position of Junior Engineer (Mechanical), candidates must have completed their Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an institution approved by the Government of Bihar.

Age requirement: To apply for the position of Junior Engineer (Mechanical), candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 37 years of age.

Selection Process:

Performance of candidates in the written test, which will be conducted for 100 marks will be considered as criteria for selection of candidates.

Application Fee:

Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.200 (Rs.50 for SC/ST candidates belonging to the state of Bihar) towards application fee through Indian Postal Order drawn in favor of the Secretary, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Patna payable at GPO, Patna.
