High Court of Karnataka, which is also called as Karnataka High Court as the name implies belongs to the state of Karnataka. The court is housed in a building called Attara Kacheri and it is located in front of Vidhan Soudha, which is the seat of legislature in the state of Karnataka.

High Court of Karnataka has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistants and candidates appointed for this position will be attached to the honorable judges of the high court. Name of the Position: Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant
Number of Vacancies: 38
Duration of the position: Candidates appointed for the position of Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant will be assigned with this responsibility from the date of appointment to the 31st of January 2013. Candidates appointed will have to work on full-time basis and they cannot practice as lawyer or cannot take up other employment during the period of assignment.
Remuneration: During the period of assignment candidates will get an honorarium of Rs.10000 per month.
Job Description:
The main responsibility of the candidates appointed for the position of Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistants will be to assist the judge to whom they are attached not only in Judicial work, but in administrative work as well. Educational qualification:
Candidates who have completed their Bachelor of Law from a recognized institution with not less than 55% of marks are eligible to apply for this position. They must have done this course on a regular basis and they should also have enrolled as an advocate in the Bar Council of Karnataka after completion of their law course on or after the 1st of January 2008.
Age requirement: To apply for the position of Law Clerk-Cum-Research Assistant, candidates must have born after 01st January 1980.
Mode of Selection:
Candidates will be selected by a committee of judges constituted by the Chief Justice based on their academic records, performance in the interview and achievements in co-curricular activities. Date of interview has not yet been decided.
