Diver – How to become a Diver?
Divers are the professionals who work underwater and perform different tasks. Most of these experts are employed by large diving contracting firms to do the construction and maintenance tasks in offshore oil rings. Some others work for the law enforcement agencies or insurance inquiry firms, searching for the accident sufferers, ruins or lost things. They may also become part of the scientific research teams, gathering or photographing fish, minerals or vegetation.

The divers should be well aware about the equipments that are used as their lifeline. These lifeline equipments come in three different varieties. They are self-contained underwater breathing equipment, surface-supplied equipment and the diving systems.
Qualifying Exam
The job as a diver does not require any specific educational qualification. But at least a high school level diploma is necessary. However the candidates should have good training in underwater swimming. These training should be obtained with and without the use of breathing equipments. This training will help them to face the potential hazards that are involved in their profession. Many of the private diving schools and military services provide these kinds of training programmes.
Candidates must also get a certification in the use of diving apparatus. Some of the specialized diving jobs will need candidates with advanced level education and training. To say, the divers who are employed in scientist research jobs will have qualification of a college degree in any of the related disciplines such as oceanography or physics. The training requirements may vary according to the type of job which the divers perform.
Who is eligible to apply?
As said earlier, the diving job does not need any special kind of education. Only training in underwater swimming is necessary for these professionals. However they must atleast have a higher secondary education qualification. After pursuing this minimum qualification, students can apply for the training in swimming in any private schools that offer it. They should also apply for the certification course in using the underwater breathing apparatus. Those who have these qualifications are eligible to apply for the job as divers.
