IGNOU is the Open University which gives the distance education in different subjects and courses. The courses offered by this University are beneficial for those candidates who are unable to attend a full time degree course. The courses are approved by the UGC and equivalent to any fulltime course.

Paper Pattern:

Question paper of this paper is a subjective as well as objective type question paper. The questions asked in the paper are based on the advanced database managements systems. The question paper is divided into two sections, Section A consist multiple choices based and short answer type questions whereas Section B consists long answer type questions and need to be solved within the word limits. Section A contains 26 questions and all are to be attempted and Section B is of 3 questions from which 2 has to be attempted, each question in this section is of 12 marks.

Questions in the paper are such as SQL queries, Constraints, traditional data base system, data base languages, design of a data base system, structure of a data base system, file management in data base management, Entity relationship diagram, in short answer type questions, definitions and full form are asked.

Total Marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks which can be awarded in this paper are 50 and time allotted for this paper is 2 hours. The objective section is of 26 marks and 26 questions are needed to be solved for that whereas Section B is of 4 marks and 2 questions are to be solved for that.
