Biomedical engineering is the branch which creates the engineers who are much more capable in the area of the development in medical engineering with help of technologies like Nanotechnology, bioreactor etc. The course is the mixture of engineering and medicine. It deals with the technology along with the new research in it.

Paper Pattern:

The question paper of Biomechanics, Prosthetic & Orthotics is a subjective paper. The paper contains conceptual questions. Total number of questions in the paper is 7 from which question number 1 is compulsory and the rest 4 questions are to be attempted from the 6 questions. Each question is of equal marks and every question contains sub-questions in it for the ease of candidates.  One question is of short notes, out of 6 short notes, 4 are to be attempted.

Frequently asked questions:

Questions asked in this paper are very conceptual and contains some questions totally based on the diagram. Some examples of questions asked are different sketch with proper naming and functions of liver, normal gait cycle, Synovial joint etc. Definitions of bio mechanics of bone, stress-strain curve, Jaipur foot, short notes on milwaykee brace etc. Classification of force system and principle of three pressure points are some common questions. Questions are of long answer type.

Total Marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks which can be awarded in this paper are 100 and time allotted for this paper is 3 hours. Total number of question to be attempted is 5 and each question is of 20 marks, however every question contains it sub-questions for the ease of students.
