Bio medical is an important and a very new branch dealing with the study of biological and medical studies in combined form with technology. The subject is basically a combination of technological science and medical science.

The paper Transducers in Biomedical instruments deals with the study of the transducers and its various types. The subject also includes study of various types of biomedical instruments. The subject includes study of various types of the problems and block diagram of various types of biomedical instruments.

The question paper has questions from the various part of the syllabus. The questions like ‘Draw the block diagram for man instrumentation system’, ‘significance of ECG and EEG’, ‘what are vector cardiograph or electrocardiograph or echo cardiograph’ and many more. Various questions on test for breathing disorders and design of hearing aid machine or telemetry are an important part of the paper. Pacemaker and its working principle is also an important part of this paper.

Paper pattern:

The paper has all together 7 question in it. All the questions are of equal marks. All the questions are divided into 2 sub questions. However, question number 1 is a bit different. It has more than 2 subparts and is one of the compulsory questions in the paper. The remaining 6 questions have 2 subparts only. One requires answering any 4 questions from these available 6 questions. All together one has to answer 5 questions only. Every question is of 20 marks each.

Time allotted and maximum marks:

The paper is of 100 marks. The candidates are given only 3 hours and within these 3 hours, they require answering the 5 questions.
