Anna University has its roots as back as 1794 when it was established as a Survey School. Then in the year 1859 it was set up as a college and then Later in the year 1978 it was raised to the level of university. The University has very good Industry- Institute links with well known universities and other organizations worldwide. It is one of the oldest institutes in India. Mechanical Engineering was introduced in the year 1894. In 1930 Electrical Engineering was introduced. The computer centre of the institute is one of the oldest in South India and dates back to 1963.

Below is provided the list of subjects in the fourth semester of Aeronautical Engineering:

• Aerodynamics

• Numerical Methods

• Aircraft Systems and Instrumentations

• Aircraft Structures

• Mechanics of Machines

• Control Engineering

The list of practical subjects is provided below:

• Aerodynamics Lab

• Aircraft Structures Lab

• Design and Drafting

• Communication Skills and Technical Seminar – II

The pattern of the exam is provided below:

The Semester exam is of 3 hours time duration and carries maximum marks of 100. All the questions are to be done.

The paper has two parts. Part A has 10 questions in all with each question carrying 2 marks and there are 5 questions in Part B. each question in this section carries 16 marks. The questions in this section have internal choices.
