Visva Bharati University began its journey in the year 1863 when it was established as Brahmacharya Ashram and in the year 1901, it was converted as Patha Bhavana, in the year 1921, it became as Visva-Bharti and later in the year 1951, it was converted as Visva Bharati University. It is a public university with the Prime Minister of the nation as it Chancellor. The university is located in Shantiniketan in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a central university for teaching and research and it was founded by the Rabindranath Tagore, who gave the university its present name, which means that communication of world with India.
Visva Bharati University is offering education through different departments like Tamil, Santali, Sanskrit, Pali & Prakrit, Oriya, Japanese, Indo-Tibetan Studies, Hindi, English & OMEL, Chinese Language & Culture, Bengali, Assamese and Arabic, Persian, Urdu & Islamic Studies. Visva Bharati University is offering these courses through the different centres and institutions functioning under its jurisdiction. It has a number of research fellowships in various fields awarded by the ICSSR, DAE, DST, ICAT, CSIR, UGC, etc…The university has two campuses one at Santhiniketan and the other at Sriniketan located at a distance of about three kms from the Santhiniketan campus. The institutional departments and buildings of the university are divided between these two campuses.

i want to know how to take addmission in japanese lanuage certificate course.
There is a 3 month drawing and painting course on a
Saturday with artist Kavita Nayar Starting in July. More
details of this please. I am a british citizen and would be
