New Law College came into existence in the year 1978 and the college is operating as a constituent unit of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University from the year 1996. The college has been approved by the Bar Council of India and by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with A grade status. The college has won several awards for the service offered to the faculty of law.

New Law College offers courses right from Diploma level to Ph. D level in the faculty of law and the list of courses offered the college is given below:

Eligibility requirements:

The duration of diploma courses offered by the New Law College, Pune is one year and to be eligible for admission to these diploma courses, candidates must have completed their graduation in any faculty from a university approved by the University Grants Commission. For getting into the three-year LLB course offered by the college, candidates must have completed their three-year graduation in any faculty of education from the Bharati Vidyapeeth University or any other recognized statutory university. In the case of five-year LLB course, the eligibility requirement is that candidates must have completed their higher secondary board examination from a recognized board or university. Master of Law course, whose duration is two years, requires that candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Law course from a recognized statutory university for seeking admission.

Admission Procedure:

In the case of diploma and PG courses by New Law College, direct admission is done based on the merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination. While for UG courses, admission is done based on the marks secured by them in LL.B Entrance Test, in which candidates must secure not less than 50% of marks.

How to apply:

Candidates applying for the UG course, will have to pay an entrance examination fee of Rs.600 in the form of cash or DD drawn in favor of the Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. The cost of admission form is Rs.500, which is applicable to all other courses as well. The application fee and entrance fee for UG course alone, should be paid through DD attached along with the duly filled in application form. Application can also be downloaded from the website of Bharati Vidyapeet University. Duly filled application should be submitted to the university and not to the college.
