Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education came into existence in the year 2008 and the college holds the pride of being the only physical education institution working under the Vikram University. The college came into existence with the objective of meeting the demand for trained personnel for the field of physical education.

Course Details:

The only course offered by Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education is Bachelor of Physical Education, shortly called as B.P. Ed. The course duration is one year and the institute is permitted to admit 50 students per year including boys and girls. Reservation of seats for this course is done according to rules of Madhya Pradesh Government.

Eligibility:

For getting into the Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education, candidates must possess any of the following qualifications:

• Graduation in physical education with not less than 40% of marks

• Graduation in any discipline with physical education as an elective subject with not less than 40% of marks

• Graduation in any discipline with participation  certificate in any inter-university/state or national SGFI/Athletics/Games or sports

• Graduation in any discipline with participation in inter-school or inter-college in games or sports or with NCC ‘C’ certification

• In the case of trained teaches or coaches, who are in service, they must have 40% marks at the graduation level

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students to the B.P Ed course offered by the Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education will be done based on the merit secured by the candidates in the entrance test, which includes physical fitness test, sports proficiency test, written test and merit secured in the qualifying examination. There can also be any other selection process according to the policy of the state government or university with due weightage for physical fitness.

Library at the institute has a collection of more than 2000 books, 29 encyclopedias, 330 books in the reference section and it is subscribing for nine journals and periodicals. The library at the institute has the facility to accommodate 250 students per year.
