Gangarampur B. Ed College is a teacher education college standing in the eastern bank of the Kaldhigi and the college is approved by the National Council of Teacher Education. The college offers teacher education course with affiliation from the University of Gour Banga and with approval from the Higher Education council of the State of West Bengal.

Course Details:

Gangarampur B. Ed College offers Bachelor of Education course and the academic session of the course commences from the month of July every year and ends during the month of June in the following year and course is offered in Bengali and in English medium. There are totally 10 papers in this one year course, which is divided into four categories namely general papers, special papers, method papers and practical based papers.

Eligibility requirements and admission procedure:

Candidates with not less than 50% of marks at the UG or PG level with a minimum of two school subjects at the UG level are eligible to apply to the B. Ed course offered by the Gangarampur B. Ed College. Selection of candidates will be done based on the norms set by the Gour Banga University.

How to apply to the College:

Candidates, who wish to apply to the B. Ed course offered by the Gangarampur B. Ed College will have to submit application in prescribed format and the format can be obtained along with prospectus. Prospectus can be obtained from the college on payment of prescribed fee for prospectus in the form of DD drawn in favor of the Gangarampur B. Ed College payable at Gangarampur. When re-submitting the application form to the college, candidates should attach the following documents along with their application:

• Attested copies of certificates and mark sheets of all examinations since higher secondary examination

• Certificate of date of birth

• One recent passport size photo to be affixed in the appropriate place provided in the application

• Caste certificate issued by the competent authority

• Original receipt issued by the college during purchase of application form

• Migration certificate in the case of students belonging to universities other than Gour Banga University

• Copy of the University Registration Certificate of the qualifying examination (only for candidates from Gour Banga University)

Gangarampur B. Ed College has a well-equipped library with reading room with a collection of more than 3500 reference and recommended books for subjects offered in the B. Ed course. In addition to these books, there are newspapers, monthly and weekly magazines and journals, newspapers, etc… in such a way that students can keep themselves abreast of the latest development in the fields of science & technology and education.
