This MCA entrance exam is conducted by Centre for Distance Education Anna University. This test is held for the admission to the three year MCA programme conducted by this institution.

Structure and Syllabus of Centre for Distance Education Anna University MCA Entrance Exam

The test comprises of hundred questions which are objective in nature. Candidates should select their answers from the four options given. They should shade the box indicating their choice. Duration specified for this test is only 2 hours. Subjects included in the test are given below.

• Quantitative Ability
• Analytical Reasoning
• Logical Reasoning
• Basic Science
• Computer Awareness
• Verbal Activity etc

If a candidate selects correct choice for their answer, one mark will be awarded. In the case the candidates obtain the same scores, their wrong answers will be considered to determine the score again.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree in any stream is needed for the candidate to apply for the test.

Degree should be taken by the candidate under 10+2+3 pattern. Also candidate should have studied core mathematics at plus two level or have studied Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Oriented subject at degree level. If a candidate possess AMIE or equivalent qualification with two years experience after that will also become eligible to apply for this test. Candidates who have obtained TANCET score can get admission without attending this test. For such candidates this test is not mandatory.

How to Apply?

Candidates can obtain application form directly from either the director, centre for distance education, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025 or through test centers. In the former case a demand draft of Rs.650 should be taken payable at Chennai in the name of the director, centre for distance education, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025. In the latter case Rs.650 should be paid in cash.

There will be option for the candidates to obtain forms through website. In that case also demand draft of Rs.650/- should be taken and should send along with the completed application form. If a candidate prefer to obtain application form by post then he/she should send a demand draft of Rs.700/- to the director, centre for distance education, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025.Attested copies of the specified certificates with the completed application forms should be sent to the address:

How to fill the Form?

“Informations and Instructions to the candidates” will be given to the candidates along with the form. It is better to fill the form after reading it carefully. Form should be filled with block letters. In some place there will be code number to indicate the preferred information. Candidate should encircle the code number of their choice. Make sure the name entered by the candidate is same as in the SSLC or equivalent certificate. Attach recent photograph on the form. It should be passport size photograph taken in blue or white background. Make sure the details of demand draft entering in the form are same as in the original. Signature should be put on the form by the candidate himself/herself. If a candidate sends application form without filling completely, that form will be rejected.
