Institute profile: DMR as a result of an upgradation was found in the year 1994 with an aim to conduct, organize and generate technology for increasing the productivity and meeting the ever increasing demands for human and animal food and for the utilization in industries. DMR has done a commendable job in this field.

Job profile: The RAs will be required to carry out R & D work in the field of increasing production, bringing new proposals, solving problems in various areas like agronomy, plant protection etc. They will also be required to coordinate their activities and work on various projects.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 40 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a first class M.Sc degree in the relevant area from a recognized university with a minimum of 2 years experience in the field of specialization. However, a PhD degree is desirable.

No. of posts: There are 11 posts in total which are distributed among various departments and also among the 3 centres of DMR.

Pay scale: The scientists would be given a pay scale of Rs17000 plus HRA per month for a candidate with M.Sc and Rs18000 plus the HRA for a candidate with PhD.

Selection process: The candidates have to undergo an interview for which TA will be given. The selections will be based on the performance during the interview and the qualifications & experience.
