M.Tech in Dairy technology is a master level course. India has a very huge number of cattle in the world. Dairy technology is a very important link between both dairy sector and dairy industry. It has become a global leader in the field of milk production and milk products. Dairy technology mainly deals with the three basic areas like Dairy Engineering, Dairy Chemistry, and Dairy Bacteriology.
Eligibility
The eligibility criterion for M.Tech in Dairy technology is that the student should have their bachelor’s degree in Dairy technology from any of the recognized university in India with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The students can take admission in this course after clearing the entrance exams like GATE to take admission in India and GRE for taking admission outside India.
Course Outlook
The M.Tech degree course is of 2 year. These 2 years is divided into two parts comprising of one year each. At the end of each year students has to pass in the main university exam for being promoted to the next year.
Job Prospects
After completing the M.Tech degree in Dairy technology the students can get a job in the dairy sector industries like Amul, Nestle, Mother Dairy, Hindustan Unilever, Heinz, Wochard, Reliance and in many more private sector. They can also pursue further studies. They can go for the research line in the research areas like DRDO (Defence research and development organization).
