B.Tech in Dairy technology is a bachelor’s degree course. The Dairy technology is a very vast and diverse field. This field comprises the role of many professionals and persons. Since India has a very huge number of cattle in the world, it became a global leader in the field of milk production and milk products. Dairy technology plays an indispensable link between both Dairy sector and Dairy industry. Dairy technology mainly deals with the three basic areas which are Dairy Engineering, Dairy Chemistry and Dairy Bacteriology.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for doing B.Tech in Dairy technology is that one should have passed in the higher secondary board exam from any recognized board with science (physics, chemistry, math) with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks. The selection of the students for B.Tech in Dairy technology is done on the basis of entrance exam like AIEEE, WB-JEE, JEE etc at the national level.
Course Outlook
This bachelor’s degree course in Dairy technology is a 4 year program. These 4 years are divided into four parts comprising of one year each and again it is divided into duration of six months semester. At the end of each semester one has to appear in the university exam.
Job Prospects
After the successful completion of B.Tech degree in Dairy technology the students can get a job in the industry like Nestle, GSK, ITC, Hindustan Unilever (HUL) , Heinz, Wochard, Mother Dairy, Reliance, Amul and many more other multinationals and also in the private sector dairies.
