National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute was established as an autonomous institute under the Government of India. The institute comes under the Department of Biotechnology which in turn comes under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The institute is located at Mohali, Punjab. The major idea behind the establishment of the institute was to lead the transformation of agri-food sector in India. The institute actually came into existence as a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science. One of the major function of the institute is to develop synergy among knowledge providers.

Job Profile:

National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the following technical and administrative positions i.e. Manager Administration, Institute Engineer, Library cum Informatics Officer, Assistant Engineer, Library Assistant etc. Selection of candidates will be made on direct recruitment or deputation basis.

1. Recruitment of Library cum Informatics Officer:

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

2. Recruitment of Computer Operator:

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

3. Recruitment of Manager Administration:

7. Recruitment of Institute Engineer:

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 100 is need to be submitted by the General and OBC candidates. No application fee is to be paid by SC/ST/PWD candidates. The application fee must be paid through a Demand Draft issued by State Bank of India only. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of National Agri Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali payable at Phase-I Br., Mohali.
