State Bank of India is considered as one of the largest banking and financial services company which has its headquarter located at Mumbai. It is a state owned bank. The bank actually came into existence on July 1, 1955. The bank is famous for providing a range of banking products through its vast network of branches spreaded all over in India and overseas. Mr. Pradip Chaudhary is the current chairman of the bank. There are apprimately 16 thousand branches of bank, and is therefore considered as the bank with the largest banking branch network in India.

Job Profile:

Eligible and qualified candidates are invited to apply for filling up the following vacant posts of Clerical cadre in State Bank of India. The posts are available in the various states of India named Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. All interested candidates are required to strictly follow the eligibility conditions set for the posts.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 1 December 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post is 28 years as on 1 December 2011.

Those candidates who belongs to reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Categories/ Ex-Servieman etc, will get relaxation in the upper age limit set for the posts as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should possess the minimum edcuational qualification required for applying for the Clerical Cadre posts in State Bank of India i.e. 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates should have passed the 12th standard with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates possessing Graduation degree from a recognized university, are also eligible to apply for the specified posts. Candidates with full time Diploma Course after 10th standard, are also eligible to apply for the specified post.

Vacancies for General category candidates: 324 posts are available.
Vacancies for SC category candidates: 28 posts are available.
Vacancies for ST category candidates: 153 posts are available.
Vacancies for OBC category candidates: 95 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 7200-19300 per month.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to submit the prescribed amount of application fee before applying online at the website. The amount of application fee should be deposited in cahs in any branch of State Bank of India in India. Application fee should be deposited through the means of deposit slip only. Candidates can download the deposit slip from the official website of State Bank of India.

Application fee for General and OBC candidates: Rs. 350 only.
Application fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Serviceman candidates: Rs. 50 only.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be recruited or selected through the conduct of a Written examination and Personal interview test. Candidates will have to appear in both written test and interview test, on the same date i.e. 18 March 2012. Only successful candidates of both the Selection Stages, will be considered at the time of final selection.
