Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) was incorporated in the year 2003 on the 15th of September with certificate of business with effect from the 15th of October 2003 and the company began its commercial operations on the 1st of April 2005. The company feeds electricity to eight districts in the state of Gujarat namely Amreli, Surendranagar, Bhavanagar, Bhuj, Porbandar, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Rajkot covering 83 taluks in total.

Remuneration: fixed remuneration for the first three years would be Rs.5500, Rs.6000 and Rs.6500 respectively per month and no other allowances will be applicable. After three years, candidates might be considered for regular appointment on the pay scale of Rs.9700-21710 based on their satisfactory performance.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: Candidates must be full-time holders of BCA/MCA/B. Sc Computer Sciences/B. Sc Information Technology or any of the following degrees with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications:

• Bachelor of Arts

• Bachelor of Commerce

• Bachelor of Science

• Bachelor of Business Administration

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or any other graduation

Candidates belonging to unreserved category must have secured not less than 55% of marks at their final year examination and candidates belonging to reserved category must have secured not less than 50% of marks. In addition, candidates must possess knowledge of English, which will be assessed by the company through pre-employment test.

Age: Age limit as on the date of publication of advertisement is less than 25 years for general category candidates and 30 years for reserved category candidates. Upper age relaxation of 10 years is applicable for PH candidates and five years for female candidates belonging to all castes.

Application fee:

Application fee of Rs.500 should be paid by SEBC and UR candidates and Rs.250 by SC/ST candidates and the fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of PGVCL payable at Rajkot. Candidates must mention their name and address behind the DD.
