West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited was founded as a result of the unbundle of West Bengal State Electricity Board. The Board was divided into two companies i.e. West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company limited and West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited. WBSETCL was incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act 1956 on February 16, 2007. The company is wholly owned by Government of West Bengal. The company has emerged as a professionaly managed and a multi sited power transmission company in Eastern India. The company earned a profit of Rs. 81.32 crore in the first year of its operation.

Eligibility:

The age of the candidates should be according to the prescribed age limit. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be provided relaxation as per rules.

For the first three posts, the amount of application fee is Rs. 300 while Rs. 250 is the application fee set for the rest of the posts. However, no fee is required from SC/ST candidates. The Demand Draft of the prescribed amount should be drawn in favour of West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited payable at Kolkata only. Name of the candidates and registration number are need to be written on the back of DD.
