Institute profile: The IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) as popularly known are the most reputed institutes in India and abroad for technology and science. They are the quality education providers. IIT madras has excellent facilities for training, research and development and a great infrastructure. It also has a variety of courses at graduate and postgraduate level. 

Job profile: The Junior Research Fellows will be required to carry out the research and development work in the mechanical department. They will be required to find out the new developments, researches, perform experiments, and work on various mechanical engineering and allied projects for the institute.

Educational Qualifications: For JRF – A candidate must have a first class B.E/B.TECH degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or an institute.
For JRF (Professional) – A candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience after B.E/B.TECH or a candidate must have a first class Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or allied branches like Aeronautical, Aerospace or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university or an institute.

No. of posts: There are no specified posts but there will not be any constraint for the deserving candidate.

Pay scale: The JRFs will be given a fixed pay of Rs12000 per month and the JRFs (Professional) will be given a fixed pay of Rs14000 per month.

Selection process: The candidates will have to face an interview. They will also be judged based on their education and experience.

How to apply: The candidates are required to apply on a plain paper by mentioning all their essential particulars like name, DOB, category, age, education etc. The candidates are required to the attested copies of their certificates along with the application.
