Employees’ State Insurance Corporation was established under the Government of India by the Central Government. The corporation actually came into existence under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. The corporation mainly works in the field of protection of the interest of workers in terms of medical problems for some kind of loss in wages. The scheme was implemented in the year 1952 under the Government of India. The administrative setup of the ESIC, Chennai is comprises of four sub regional centres located at Madurai, Coimbatore, Salem and Tirunelveli.

Job Profile:

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is looking forward to recruit eligible candidates on the posts of Part Time Specialists under various disciplines or specialities. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the posts. Candidates will be recruited purely on contract basis for a period of one year at any of the ESIC Hospital located at Sector-8, FBD, NH-3, FBD, Bhiwani, Jagadhari and Panipat. The posts are available in the speciality of General Surgeon, General Physician, Paediatrics, Chest & TB, Anesthesiology, Obs. &. Gynae, Orthopedic and Radiologist.

Eligibility:

Candidate’s age should not be exceeding 62 years as on 31 March 2012 or else they will not be considered eligible for the specified position. However, there may be age relaxation provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification which is required for the post is Post Graduation degree in the concerned speciality from a recognized university. Besides this qualification, candidates should also possess minimum three years experience in the relevant field. Candidates with Post Graduate Diploma from a recognized institute are also eligible to apply for the post. Candidates should have more than three years experience (minimum five years) after acquiring the Post Graduate Diploma.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be paid the emoluments as per the recoomendations of the 6th CPC as adopted in ESI Corporation or Hospitals.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 300 for applying for the specified posts of Part Time Specialists in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. The application fee is to be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of ESIC, Account No. 1 payable at Faridabad.

Selection Process:

Selection of best suitable candidates will be made through the conduct of a Walk-In-Interview that will be held on 11 April 2012 from 9:30 AM onwards.

How to apply: Candidates must arrive on time for the Walk-In-Interview that will be held on a specified date. Candidates will have to appear for the walk-in-interview alongwith the self attested copies of relevant documents in support of age, qualification etc. Candidates should also bring two self attested recent passport size photograph as well. Candidates will have to appear on time for the walk-in-interview i.e. before 9:30 AM. Candidates arriving after this time, will not be allowed to sit in the walk-in-interview.
