Admission to the courses offered in Indian Institute of Planning and Management, Bangalore is carried out on the basis of an entrance test, Entrepreneurship & Planning Admission Test (E-PAT). Candidates qualified in E-PAT should also get through GD and personal interview conducted by the institute. Selected candidates can pursue Under Graduate or Post Graduate programme in National Planning and Entrepreneurship.

  • Two Year full time Post Graduate programme in National Economic Planning and Entrepreneurship
  • Three Year full time Under Graduate programme in Planning and Entrepreneurship
  • One year Executive Program in Planning and Entrepreneurship

Eligibility Criterion for Admission in IIPM, Bangalore

Candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University are eligible to apply for the Two year programme in National Economic Planning and Entrepreneurship. Higher Secondary Course from a recognized board of studies is the minimum qualification required for three year full time programme in Planning and Entrepreneurship. Age of such candidates must be 17 years and above. For post graduate programme, age of eligible candidate must be above 20 years.

Application Process

The courses are offered in various sessions such as Fall Winter or Spring Summer. Candidates are required to apply for the course as per the instructions given in the prospectus. Application form cum prospectus can be obtained from the IIPM offices across the country for free of cost. Apart from this, it can be obtained by post.

Admission Process

The institute conducts admission tests, group discussion as well as personal interview as a part of selection procedure. Candidates will have to appear for the entrance exam, Entrepreneurship & Planning Admission Test (E-PAT). Unlike other Management Entrance exams such as MAT, CAT, E-PAT will contain objective type questions to measure the Emotional Quotient and personal behavior of the candidates. This examination is conducted in more than 15 centers in India. As further step, candidates will be short listed for group discussion. Candidates will be given topics from recent issues or current trends to speak. Their communication skill as well as awareness in General Topics will be evaluated in this section.

Those who have cleared the written test and group discussion will be called for personal interview, which is the final stage of selection process. There will be questions to measure candidates’ interest in subject and interpersonal skills. Final selection will be on the basis of the composite scores obtained in admission test, group discussion as well as personal interview.
