Details of SBI P.O Recruitment 2013
State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for the position of Probationary Officer (P.O). Graduates below 30 years of age can apply for the job profile till February 23, 2013. Selections are done through Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview. Written comprises of both objective as well as descriptive model questions for 250 marks. English Language, General Awareness, Data Analysis, etc are the topics included for objective test whereas letter writing, essay, comprehension, short précis etc will be asked for descriptive section.
Eligibility for SBI P.O Recruitment 2013
Bachelor degree from any of the recognized University is the basic qualification required. Those having equivalent qualification recognized by central government can also apply. Age of the applicant must be between 21 and years. Reserved category candidates like OBC can expect 3 year age relaxation where as SC/ST can have at most 5 year age reduction.
Recruitment Procedure for SBI P.O 2013
Selection of appropriate candidate is carried out through a two stage process.
- Written Test
- Group Discussion and Interview
Written Test comprises of both objective as well as descriptive model questions. Out of the total of 250 marks, 200 marks are contributed by objective type questions. There will be 4 sections in objective test, each carrying 50 marks. Questions for these sections will be based on the following topics.
Section I: English Language
- Comprehension
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
Section II: General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
Section III: Data Analysis and Interpretation
Section IV: Reasoning
In descriptive section, there will be questions in letter writing, essay, comprehension and short précis. Descriptive paper will be evaluated for those candidates who have secured passing marks in objective test.
Those who qualify with the first stage will be short listed to attend the second stage. Group Discussion is scheduled for 20 marks and Interview for 30 marks. Candidates need to qualify each of the sections separately to get in to the position of SBI ‘Probationary Officer’.
Application Procedure for SBI P.O Recruitment 2013
Registration starts with an online application process. Candidates can submit their applications through the website of SBI. After submitting online applications, candidates can go for application fee payment. Application fee amounts to Rs. 200/- and can be paid through online or offline mode. Offline fee transfer can be made through any of the branches of SBI. Offline fee payment can be done through any of the methods of debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking. Those having completed the registration process successfully will be intimated over mail/mobile.
