B.Ed/ B.El.Ed holders with a minimum of 55% marks can apply for M.Ed course in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU). Applicants must be working as Teachers/ Principal/ Head Master/ Education Administrators in any of the recognized institutes. They should have at least two years of work experience in related job profiles. Admissions are done on the basis on the basis on an entrance test conducted by BRAOU. Questions on school management, system of education, teaching methodology, and sociological foundations of education are asked for the entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Ed in BRAOU

Candidate must be an Indian citizen to apply for admission. They must have completed Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) /Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) from any of the recognized institute. Required qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 55% marks. A relaxation of 5% marks is given for candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH category. Other than these educational qualifications, candidate must be working as teacher in any of the reputed institutions. They should have at least two years of teaching experience in any of the profiles of ‘School Assistant’, ‘Lecturers’, or Primary/Secondary Teacher. Those with at least two years of work experience in the profiles of Principal/ Head Master/ Education Administrators are also eligible. Age of the applicant must not be less than 23 years. There is no upper age limit to apply.

Admission Procedure for M.Ed in BRAOU

Admissions are done strictly on the basis on the basis on an entrance test conducted by BRAOU. Those who qualify the entrance test will be selected through a centralized counseling process. There will be 100 objective type questions for the entrance test for 100 marks. Duration for the test is 2 hours. Syllabus for the test is based on the topics covered under B.Ed programme. Questions are basically asked from the following sections.

• Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education - 15 Marks
• Psychological Foundation of Education- 15 Marks
• Educational Technology and Computer Education - 15 Marks
• School Management and System of Education - 15 Marks
• Educational Statistics and Evaluation- 15 Marks
• Teaching Methodology - 25 Marks

Selected candidates in entrance test will be considered for interview. Verification of mark lists, transfer certificate, and migration certificate is done at this stage.

Application Process for M.Ed Entrance Exam in BRAOU

Registration for M.Ed entrance exam in BRAOU can be done online through AP online center. Application fee of Rs. 535/- should be paid at online registration center. After submitting the online application, the print out of the same must be kept for future reference.
