Maharashtra College of Engineering was set up in the year 1983 under the supervision of Dr. Shivajirao Patil Nilangekar, the contemporary Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra. This college was built on the principle of providing its students the best technical education with the ultra tech facilities so as to keep pace with the global scenario. It has completed its 25 years of successful career under the affiliation of SRTM University. The management of the institute is in the responsible hands of the Maharashtra education society.
Infrastructure
The campus is located in the lap of nature with a lot of greenery around in a partly city environment. It covers an area of around 23 acres of land and provides a suitable surrounding for the developing minds of the students. The campus is state of the art and has everything to provide. There are modern laboratories, well managed and furnished library, Workshops and internet facilities. For recreational activities there are fields for games and sports, canteens and cinema halls. There is separate hostel facility for both boys and girls inside the campus only.
Courses offered
One can be trained and educated in the following fields:
Bachelor of Engineer (B.E.) in the following streams
Civil engineering
Mechanical engineering
Electronics Engineering
Electrical Engineering
There are 60 seats each for the mechanical and civil departments and 30 available seats in electrical and electronics department.
Other Courses offered
There are diploma and Degree courses offered in English Proficiency, Pharmacy. Also there are training programs for the exams such as GATE, GMAT, GRE and TOEFL.
Course Details
The duration of the degree courses is 4 years which gets divided into 8 semesters. The academic period for odd semester start from July and end in October with the exams held in the month of December. The even semesters commence form January and extends till April with the exams held in May.
The primary goal of the institute is to groom individuals from student level to the status of a responsible and efficient professional.

Is there a facility of correspondence degree in civil engineering ?
i want a job for this college pls send me my mail any job for official i m b.com and computer operator so i am waiting u r answer.
This is the worst engineering college which I have ever seen. If you dont like your children and spoil their career brutally or if you want to make your children dying, you can join them into this college happily.
Worst infrastructure, worst labs, worst lecturers (I dont say professors, because they are not eligible and the staff doesn’t know the meaning of professor and his values).
This college was established to make business with education rather than providing good education to the pupil.
I request every one please make every one aware about this college… If you really want good education, better go for correspondence courses.. dont take admission in this college.
