Seacom Engineering College is located at Sankrail in Howrah in West Bengal and was set up in 2006. The institute got birth due to Seacom Engineering College. The college aims at providing valuable technical learning and is associated to WBUt. The college has the approval of AICTE.
Courses offered
The college offers both masters and undergraduate courses. There are six different engineering disciplines dealt with as Marine Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Master of Business Administration in Shipping and MCA programs are also offered by the institute.
Placements
The college has a great amount of exposure to various marine industries. The placement cell have good touch with various large enterprises and works diligently so that all of the students get placed in top companies. Frequent seminars and workshops are held for proper grooming.
Infrastructure
The College has a fantastic infrastructure. It is spread over a vast land of 11.15 acres. The college consists of numerous buildings for instruction, administration and amenities. The college has 14 classrooms, 3 tutorial halls, drawing hall, library and 8 laboratories and workshops. A perfect environment for education is provided to the students.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria
The admission is done on the basis of ranks obtained in the WBJEE conducted by the state.
The subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the HSE or equivalent level is a necessary condition.

hi all..
guyz i need a bit of help regarding the career that i should opt. 1st i ha d a lot of pressure to opt Btech But I couldn’t get a place for my cs course so i opted Bsc cs and plans for M.C.A.. But lately i had a lot of my seniors opting for btech after Bsc… i’m in a crisis since most of my friends and family is suggesting me to opt btech. Is MCA equal or less profound than Btech??? Also can u giude me to the best universities for which i should apply for if I should persume M.C.A?????
