Punjab State Warehouse Corporation was originally came into existence in the year 1958. The corporation actually comes under the control of Government of India. The corporation was establihsed under the Agricultural Produce Corporations Act 1956 repealed by Warehousing Corporations Act 1962. The major objective behind the establishment of the corporation was to have a responsible or governing body for the purpose of warehousing of agricultural produce and other commidities. It has emerged as a premier corporation indulge in the warehousing of algricultural produce.

Job Profile:

Punjab State Warehouse Corporation is making recruitment of eligible Indian citizens on the folloing positions of Accountant and Accounts Clerk. Candidates are required to fulfill all the eligibility conditions set for the specified position before applying for it.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for both the posts is 18 years as on 31 August 2011.
The maximum age limit set for both the posts is 37 years as on 31 August 2011.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories, may get relaxation of few years in the maximum age limit set for the posts. The relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Accountant: Candidates are required to possess M.Com degree with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should also possess atleast 3 years experience in Accounting for this post.

Accounts Clerk: For this post, candidates should have done B.Com from a recognized institute or university of India. Candidates must also possess atleast 12 hours experience of Computers besides the prescribed educational qualification.

Pay Scale:

Accountant: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3800.
Accounts Clerk: Rs. 5910-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Application Fee:

Submission of the prescribed amount of application fee is must for each and every candidates. However, no fee is to be submitted by Ex-serviceman candidates of Punjab. The application fee should be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft or Pay Order or Banker’s cheque. The Bank draft should be made in favour of Managing Director, Punjab State Warehousing Corporation, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh.

Application fee for General and OBC candidates: Rs. 500 only.
Application fee for SC/ST candidates: Rs. 250 only.
