Punjab State Power Corporation Limited is looking for brilliant, young and dynamic candidates for the position of Assistant Engineer on Training (AE (OT)) from the branches of Instrumentation & Control engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Civil Engineering and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Assistant Engineer On Training

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 43, which is divided among the branches of engineering as follows:

• Instrumentation and Control Engineering – 15

• Electronics & Communication Engineering – 15

• Civil Engineering - 13

Training – Selected candidates will have to undergo training at TTI, Patiala according to the instructions of PSPCL and the final posting will be allocated on successful completion of training.

Pay Scale: Assistant Engineer on training for all branches will be coming under the pay scale of Rs.16650-39100+5800 Grade pay.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their full-time Bachelor of Engineering/Technology/science with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or its equivalent degree approved by AMIE or AICTE with not less than 60% of marks from Institution of Engineering, Calcutta in the appropriate branches of engineering.

Age: For the position of Assistant Engineer on Training, candidates must be between the age group of 20 and 37 years as on the 1st of January 2011. Upper age relaxation applicable for SC/ST candidates is 5 years, for PH candidates is 10 years and to the extent of service offered in armed forces of Union of India for Ex-servicemen.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates will have to take up written test and merit list shall be prepared according to the marks secured by the candidates in the written test. The minimum qualifying marks in written test for general category candidates is 50% and for reserved category candidates is 40%. Application fee:

Fee to be paid by general category and candidates other then SC category is Rs.500 per application and for SC category, the fee to be paid is Rs.200. Fee should be paid through challan in any branch of State Bank of Patiala and no other mode of payment will be accepted. Candidates after initial registration can take printout of the filled up form and challan form for payment of fee and after payment of fee in SBOP, they will be allotted with a computer generated transaction Number that will be indicated in the candidate copy of the challan.
