Andhra University conducts the Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) for the admission of candidates to the postgraduate courses offered at its affiliated colleges. The score of this examination can be also used to get admission in the colleges affiliated to Adikavi Nannayya University and Dr.B.R.Ambedkar University, Srikakulam. This examination is conducted at specified centers located in Andhra Pradesh. Aspirants from all over the country can participate in this examination to pursue their post graduate courses in different subjects. Candidates can get admission to M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, M.A, B.Ed and Integrated/Dual degree M.S programs with the AUCET score.

Structure and Syllabus for AUCET Exam

Andhra University Common Entrance test is held annually in the month of April or May. This is a written examination conducted at an All India Level. Only objective type questions will be asked in this examination so that the candidates can choose their answers and mark it on the OMR sheet. The main aim of this exam is to test the knowledge of the candidates in the relevant subjects. Syllabus of this examination will include the subjects studied during the graduation.

Question Pattern of AUCET Exam

There will be given four or five answer choices for each objective question so that the candidates can select an option as their answer. A total of 90 questions will be asked in this test which will be divided in to three sections. Forty questions will be asked in the first section and thirty questions will be asked in the second section. The remaining twenty questions will be asked in the third section. Each question carries one mark and the candidates can score this mark on giving each correct answer. At the same time they will lose ¼ marks on each wrong answer.

Preparing for AUCET Exam

As the AUCET exam is conducted for the admission in to the Masters Program, candidates can expect much difficult questions. Also, this exam will be competitive due to the large number of participants from all over the country.  Therefore the candidates should take a good effort to clear the exam. They should first of all plan the time schedule required to complete each subject specified on the syllabus. They should then collect the study materials required to prepare for each subject. They can refer good reference books as well as previous year question papers. Also, they should be thorough with the subjects studied during graduation level. For that they can refer the notes prepared during the time of graduation.
