Bannari Amman Institute of Technology was established in 1996 in order to distribute high quality education to the students and also to help them in building their career. The institute is completely regulated and controlled by Bannariamman Educational Society. It is affiliated to the Anna University, Coimbatore. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, and has an autonomous status. It is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institute. It offers courses in various branches of engineering, at the undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels.
Infrastructure:
The institute is spread over large distributed area and has well equipped buildings. The building consists of 36 well furnished class rooms. The college also provides residential facility for girls. It also has 6 AC Seminar Halls, Medical Center, Library, Laboratories and Workshops.
Courses Offered:
The college offers a number of courses to the aspirants in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Textile Technology, Industrial Biotechnology, Bachelor of Science (B. Sc), Information Technology, Computer Technology, B Sc. Textile Technology (M. Tech), Master of Science (M. Sc), Software Engineering and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
Admission Procedure:
For appearing in undergraduate courses, candidates must have secured 60% in the 10+2 exams or its equivalent exams with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. To be eligible for the postgraduate courses, the candidates must have completed graduation degree in the relevant stream from any of the recognized Universities. The candidates have to secure high marks in following of the entrance exams: MAT, GATE, TANCET etc.
