Campus placement Procedure in Wipro

Wipro Technologies conducts recruitments by campus placement in all leading institutions in the country. The organization has signed a memorandum of understanding with various educational institutes. The firm recruits Engineering graduates and post graduates in science subjects for technical positions. Management graduates are also recruited for middle level management roles in business consulting and business development. Diploma graduates are also hired by the firm for specific programmes. Selection procedure includes aptitude test, technical interview and HR interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50 % of aggregate marks in matriculation and higher secondary education. Candidates must have obtained at least 60 % marks in graduation or post graduation. Candidates are not supposed to have any back papers at the time of application. Candidates who have completed their studies in regular/ full time programme are only eligible to apply. Candidates who have attended the Wipro Campus Placement in the past 6 months are not eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of composite score obtained in the screening test and interview. The aptitude test conducted by WIPRO consists of 50 questions. Maximum time limit for the written test is 60 minutes. Candidates can expect questions from different sections such as logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude and Technical aptitude. Technical section is comprised of questions to evaluate the subject knowledge of the candidates. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates who have cleared the written test will be shortlisted for Technical Interview.  Technical interview normally has duration of 30 to 45 minutes. Candidates can expect questions related to computers and latest developments in IT industry. Questions will be asked from academics and candidate’s area of interest as mentioned in their curriculum vitae. Short listed candidates will be called for the next step called essay writing. Candidates will be given 10 minutes to write short essays on any given topic. Candidates’ knowledge in English language usage and writing skills are analyzed in this test.

HR interview is conducted to analyze the behavioral approach, level of confidence and attitude of the candidate. Candidates can be given some situation in HR interview for assessing his instant response to specific situation. Candidates’ communication skills and industry knowledge will be measured in this interview. Candidates are advised to prepare their resume in the best form available since it plays a significant role in the selection process.
