Unchahar Thermal Power Station was the first thermal power station constructed by UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. The corporate office of the company is located at Shakti Bhawan Extension, Lucknow. The company is an Uttar Pradesh Government Undertaking which has five thermal power stations named Anpara TPS, Harduaganj TPS, Panki TPS, Obra TPS and Parichha TPS.
