Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by AICTE for facilitating the AICTE approved management institutions to admit the eligible ones for its various management programmes. The details regarding the CMAT exam are mentioned below.

Structure of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

CMAT will have 4 sections with multiple choice questions. Each section will consist of 25 questions. In total, there will be 100 questions which the candidates are required to finish with in 180 minutes. The correct answers will carry 4 marks each and for the wrong ones, 1 mark will be deducted.

Syllabus of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation (100 marks)
  • Logical Reasoning (100 marks)
  • Language Comprehension (100 marks)
  • General Awareness (100 marks)

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized University are eligible to apply for CMAT. The final year students in the graduate programme are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can apply online from the website URL http://www.aicte-cmat.in/ for the CMAT exam. For the first time, one has to enter as new user and register in the site. After successful registration, an 8 digit password will be provided to the candidate using which they can login for form filling. The application fee for the entrance exam is Rs.1200/- (Rs. 600/- for SC / ST / PD candidates), which can be paid via 2 modes - Online Payment / Cash Payment in bank. In online payment mode, payment can be made using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking. In Cash Payment in bank mode, the applicant needs to download the challan form from the http://www.aicte-cmat.in/ site. They should then make payment at any of the designated SBI bank branch. After completely filling the application form and if the applicants are sure that the data entered is accurate, then they can proceed by clicking the submit button.

How to fill the Form?

The applicants have to fill the form very carefully. One has to fill all the columns in the form furnishing the accurate details. Before clicking the submit button, the applicants are advised to go through the filled form once again. Any corrections, if any can be made by clicking on the view / modify button. All the details are mentioned in the prospectus of CMAT. The candidates can have a look on the same before filling.

Score Validity

The CMAT score will be valid up to 1 year.
