Constable (Male/Female), Punjab Police
Punjab Police was established as an important organization under the Government of Punjab, Government of India. The organization was actually established as an autonomous Government owned institute. The major objective of the Punjab Police is to perform services for the welfare of the people of the state. Punjab Police have undertaken severe steps to put full stop to crime activities. The major function of the organization is to control or to even eradicate the criminal activities from the state.
Job Profile:
Eligible and qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following position of Constable (both Male and Female) in district police cadre of Punjab Police. Only eligible Male and Female candidates are invited to apply in district Police cadre in the rank of constable in Punjab Police.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post of Constable is 18 years as on 1 January 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Constable is 25 years as on 1 January 2011.
This age criteria is strictly need to be followed by the interested candidates or else their applications will not be considered by the PUnjab Police. Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation of few years in the prescribed age limit as per the rules of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates are required to have done 10+2 in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized board. The prescribed educational qualification is need to be possessed by the candidates or else they will not be considered eligible for the post of Constable in Punjab Police. Also, candidates must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory or optional subject. Candidates falling under Ex-serviceman genre, are required to possess Matriculation as the minimum educational qualification.

Constable (Male): Total 3726 posts are available.
Constable (Female): Total 2000 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be givne the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5910-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.
Application Fee:
Candidates are required to send a demand draft of prescribed amount of application fee in support of their completed application form. The demand draft of Rs. 100 is need to be sent by the candidates. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Chairman, District Recruitment Board (_______________) (Name of the district for which the applicant applies) payable at _________ (district concerned).
Female candidates are required to send an Account Payee, Demand Draft of Rs. 100 drawn in favour of Chairman cum IGP Zone Recruitment Board for female constables 2011 payable at (______________) (concerned zone).
Candidates should write their name and address at the backside of the bank draft in capital letters.
How to apply: Application form in the prescribed format should be filled in all aspects. The application should be sent alongwith all the necessary documents in case of female candidates. The address to which the application should reach is mentioned below:
